What is climate change?

The weather changes from day to day. The climate is the average weather of an area: hot and dry in the Okanagan, wet and mild on the coast of British Columbia. Changes in climate are documented by long time-series of measurements of atmospheric and oceanic properties including temperature and rainfall. These changes affect the geographical distribution of flora and fauna and in turn the human activities related to them (for example, farming, logging and fishing).
